Crypto donation pages for charities and open source

Accept crypto donations for nonprofits and charities

Give supporters a simple way to donate Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT and 110+ other coins. Your donation page and button are ready in minutes, and gifts can be credited in USD so their value holds.

No setup or monthly feesNo KYC or KYB required110+ coinsNo chargebacks on crypto

Some of your most generous supporters keep their savings in crypto, and many would rather give it directly than sell it first. When you accept crypto donations, nonprofits and charities of any size can reach those donors, along with supporters in countries where international card payments are hard to make. What held most organizations back was the setup: wallets, addresses, spreadsheets and the worry of holding a volatile asset.

CryptoPayr turns all of that into a donation page. Pick your page address, set suggested amounts or let donors choose their own, and share the link. Donors pay with Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, USDC, Solana, Litecoin or any of 110+ coins, and they do not need an account. An embeddable button and badge put the same page one click away on your website, your blog or your open-source project page.

For a specific appeal, create a payment link for that campaign and share it in newsletters and social posts. Each gift is confirmed automatically once it is final on the blockchain, and you get an email for every one, which makes thanking donors quick. Because blockchain payments are public, a donor can also look up their own gift and see that it arrived where they meant it to go.

By default every donation is converted and credited to a USD balance, so a market dip the week after a big gift does not shrink it. You can also choose to keep the exact coins donors sent. There are no setup fees, no monthly fees and no KYC needed to open an account, so a volunteer can set it up in an afternoon. Tax treatment of crypto gifts differs from country to country, so donors and organizations should check their local rules.

Why merchants switch

The problem with card payments for nonprofits

Card fees eat into small gifts

On a small donation, a card processor's fixed fee plus its percentage takes a noticeable share before the money reaches your cause. Donors notice too, and some give less, or nothing at all, when they are asked to cover processing costs on top of their gift.

International donors get turned away

A supporter abroad may find their card declined on a foreign donation form, or face fees that make a gift hardly worth sending. Bank transfers across borders are slower still, and many small organizations cannot receive them easily, if at all.

Payment providers are wary of causes

Advocacy groups, independent newsrooms and organizations working in sensitive regions often find their payment accounts reviewed or closed with little explanation. Donations stop overnight, and appeals already in flight send supporters to a form that no longer works, with no warning to the people who wanted to help.

Crypto donations are hard to run alone

Posting a wallet address works until you need to know who gave what, thank them properly and avoid holding a coin that drops in value. Without a real donation page, the admin work lands on volunteers who would rather spend that time on the cause itself.

What you get

Crypto payments for nonprofits, done properly

A donation page that is ready today

Choose a page address, set suggested amounts or let supporters enter their own, and share the link. The page takes gifts in more than 110 cryptocurrencies, and donors give without creating an account or downloading anything new.

Embeddable button and badge

Put a donation button or badge on your website, blog or open-source project page. Supporters are one click from giving, the button points straight to your CryptoPayr donation page, and it works on any site where you can paste a short snippet.

Campaign links for each appeal

Create a payment link for a specific appeal, an emergency fund or a matched-giving week, and share it in emails and social posts. Choose a fixed or an open amount, and reuse the link for as long as the campaign runs.

Gifts that keep their value

Every donation is converted and credited to a USD balance by default, so the amount a donor gave is the amount your organization can spend, minus the processing fee. Prefer to hold the coins? Keep the exact coin each donor sent.

Card and app options for everyone else

Turn on "Pay by card" and supporters without crypto can give with a debit or credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Revolut or Coinbase. The partner converts the gift into crypto, and you are credited the donation amount in USD.

Payouts to your treasury wallet

Withdraw to your organization's own wallet in the coin you choose, or schedule automatic payouts daily, weekly, monthly or when the balance reaches a threshold. Two-factor login protects the account, and payout addresses are screened against sanctions lists.

Crypto payments for nonprofits: FAQ

How do we start accepting crypto donations?

Sign up, open the donation settings and choose a page address, suggested amounts and whether donors can type their own. Share the page link, or add the embeddable button to your website. There is no KYC, no company registration and no setup fee, so your organization can be live the same day it signs up.

Will a donation lose value if the market drops?

Not by default. Each donation is converted when it settles and credited to your USD balance, so later price moves do not change what you received. If your organization prefers to hold crypto, you can switch to keeping the exact coin each donor sent, and accept the price risk that comes with it.

What fees does a nonprofit pay on crypto donations?

No setup fees, no monthly fees and no minimums. Each donation carries a processing fee of 2%, which falls to 1.5% once you receive more than $1,000 a month and to 1% above $5,000 a month. Donors who give by card pay the card processing fee on top of their gift.

Can donors give by card if they do not hold crypto?

Yes. Switch on "Pay by card" in Settings and your checkout gains extra buttons such as debit or credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Revolut and Coinbase. The donor pays on a partner's page, the partner converts it into crypto, and you are credited the donation amount. Each option has its own minimum gift.

Are crypto donations tax deductible?

That depends on the country, the donor and how your organization is set up, and CryptoPayr does not give tax advice. Donors should check their local rules before claiming anything, and organizations should ask their accountant how crypto gifts should be recorded and acknowledged where they operate.

Can a donation be reversed?

A confirmed blockchain payment is final, so crypto donations cannot be charged back. If a donor asks for a gift back, for example after sending the wrong amount, you can issue a refund from your dashboard. They receive an email link and enter the address where they want it returned.

Can we run separate funds or campaigns?

Yes. Create a payment link for each appeal so gifts are easy to tell apart. If you run separate projects or chapters, you can also hold multiple accounts under one login and switch between them, each with its own balance and its own donation page.
