Accept PIX payments from buyers in Brazil
PIX is how Brazil pays. Your buyers turn PIX into USDT in seconds in the app they already use and pay your checkout. You are credited in USD, with no Brazilian bank account or company.
What is PIX?
PIX is Brazil's instant payment system, run by the Central Bank of Brazil since November 2020. A payment arrives in seconds, at any hour of any day, and all the payer needs is a QR code or a PIX key: a tax number, a phone number, an email address or a random key. For most Brazilians it has replaced bank transfers, boletos and a good share of card payments.
Because PIX is so fast and so cheap, it is also how Brazilians buy crypto. Brazilian exchanges sell USDT for PIX, and wallets such as MetaMask and Trust Wallet let users in Brazil pay for crypto with PIX right inside the app. A buyer with a bank app and a wallet can go from reais to USDT in under a minute.
For a merchant outside Brazil, taking PIX directly normally means a local entity, a Brazilian bank account and a payment provider licensed in Brazil. With CryptoPayr you reach the same buyers without any of that: the money starts as PIX on their side and reaches you as a settled crypto payment.
How PIX works on CryptoPayr
At checkout the buyer picks USDT, or any of 110+ coins, and the network they want: TRON, BNB Chain, Polygon or Ethereum are the usual choices in Brazil. They top up that amount with PIX in their exchange or wallet app, scan the QR code on your checkout and send. Buyers on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche or Arbitrum can also pay straight from MetaMask with Connect Wallet & Pay.
When the payment is final on the blockchain, the order is confirmed automatically and your store marks it paid. You are credited in your USD balance by default, or you keep the USDT itself. You pay the normal processing fee of 2%, falling to 1.5% above $1,000 a month and 1% above $5,000 a month, and a confirmed payment can't be charged back.
How a buyer pays with PIX
Choose USDT at checkout
The buyer selects USDT and a network such as TRON, BNB Chain or Polygon. The checkout shows the exact amount and a QR code.
Top up with PIX
In their exchange or wallet app the buyer buys that amount of USDT with PIX. The PIX transfer clears in seconds.
Send to the checkout
They scan the QR code or paste the address and send the USDT, or connect MetaMask and approve the payment there.
Order confirmed
Once the payment is final on the blockchain, the order is marked paid and the buyer sees the confirmation page.
Why merchants offer PIX
Reach Brazil without a local entity
No Brazilian company, CNPJ or bank account. Open a free CryptoPayr account, add the checkout to your site and Brazilian buyers can pay with the money they hold in PIX.
Paid in USD, not reais
Every payment is converted and credited to your USD balance by default, so a weaker real never shrinks an order you already took. Keep the USDT instead if you prefer.
No chargebacks
A confirmed blockchain payment is final. There is no dispute process for a buyer to start weeks later, which matters in markets where card fraud is common.
Fast for the buyer
PIX clears in seconds and USDT on TRON, BNB Chain or Polygon confirms in minutes, so a buyer who decides to pay is done before they lose interest.
Plugins and payment links
WooCommerce, PrestaShop, OpenCart, WHMCS and the other plugins, payment links, invoices and the API all use the same checkout, so PIX buyers can pay wherever you sell.

PIX payments: FAQ
Can my customers pay with PIX?
Yes. Buyers in Brazil turn PIX into USDT in the exchange or wallet app they already use and pay your checkout in USDT. The PIX part happens in their app in seconds, and you receive a settled crypto payment credited to your USD balance.
Do I need a Brazilian bank account or company?
No. You don't need a CNPJ, a Brazilian bank account or a local payment provider. CryptoPayr needs no KYC or KYB to open an account, and you can take your first payment from Brazil the same day.
Which coin should Brazilian buyers use?
USDT is the most common, on TRON, BNB Chain or Polygon, where network fees are low. Buyers can also pay with Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDC or any other of the 110+ coins the checkout accepts.
What does it cost?
No setup or monthly fees. You pay 2% per payment, 1.5% above $1,000 a month and 1% above $5,000 a month. The buyer pays whatever their exchange charges for the USDT plus the network fee.
Is there a minimum payment?
Not from us. Buyers can pay small amounts in USDT on low-fee networks like TRON, BNB Chain or Polygon. Their exchange may have its own minimum for a PIX purchase.
How do refunds work?
Issue a refund from your dashboard or the API. The buyer gets an email link, enters the address where they want to receive it, and the refund is sent in crypto.
Can Brazilian buyers also pay by card?
Yes. Switch on "Pay by card" in Settings → Payments and buyers can also pay by card or Apple Pay and Google Pay through our partners, for payments from $10.
