Accept Revolut payments from buyers across Europe
Revolut users in the EU and EEA can pay you in euros, for payments from about €9. You accept Revolut payments without a Revolut account of your own and receive the order amount in USD.
What is Revolut?
Revolut is a financial app that puts a current account, cards, currency exchange and money transfers on a phone. It started in the UK and spread across Europe, where it has become an everyday account for people who travel, live in one country and earn in another, or simply prefer to manage their money in an app. Accounts are opened and run entirely from a phone, and many people keep one alongside a traditional bank account.
Many of its users run their daily spending through it, paying with the Revolut card, splitting bills in the app and changing currency before a trip. For them, a Revolut button at checkout is a familiar way to pay, and it saves digging out a card or setting up a crypto wallet just to buy one thing from a shop they found online.
Taking Revolut payments directly usually means opening a Revolut Business account and connecting it to your store. With CryptoPayr you need neither. To accept Revolut payments, you switch on one setting: the buyer pays with Revolut in euros on a partner's page, the partner turns the money into crypto and sends it to your order, and you are credited in dollars. Your store keeps a single checkout, and Revolut simply becomes one more button on it.
How Revolut works on CryptoPayr
Switch on "Pay by card" in Settings → Payments. A Revolut button then appears for buyers in the EU and EEA on payments from about €9, the euro equivalent of $10, card fee included. It sits next to the coin list and the other partner options, and buyers outside that region do not see it. Revolut payments are billed in euros, so the buyer sees a price in euros rather than in dollars.
The buyer taps Revolut, a partner page opens in a new tab, and they pay with their Revolut account. The partner turns the euros into crypto and sends it to the order. CryptoPayr confirms the order automatically and your store marks it paid. You are credited the order amount in your USD balance, minus your normal processing fee, and the buyer pays the card processing fee on top: the greater of $2.99 or 9% + $1.50.
How a buyer pays with Revolut
Tap Revolut
Buyers in the EU and EEA see a Revolut button once the payment reaches about €9 and choose it instead of copying a wallet address.
Pay in euros
A partner page opens in a new tab with the total in euros, and the buyer pays it with their Revolut account.
Confirm identity if asked
A first-time buyer may be asked by the partner to verify their identity. That happens on the partner page; CryptoPayr never sees the documents.
Order completes
The partner sends crypto to the order, CryptoPayr confirms it automatically, and your store marks the order paid and moves on to delivery.
Why merchants offer Revolut
Accept Revolut payments without Revolut Business
You do not open a Revolut account or connect anything to your store. Switch on "Pay by card" and the Revolut button is added to your checkout for every buyer in the EU and EEA.
Prices in euros for European buyers
Revolut bills the buyer in euros, so a shopper in Spain, Germany or Ireland is not asked to pay a dollar total, while you are still credited in USD on your side of the sale.
A minimum of about €9
Revolut appears for payments from about €9, the euro equivalent of $10, counting the card fee. Game credits, ebooks, monthly software plans and donations all qualify, which keeps the option open for low-priced digital goods as well as bigger baskets.
Credited in USD, minus your usual fee
You receive the order amount in your USD balance, less your processing fee of 2%, 1.5% or 1% depending on monthly volume. The card processing fee is paid by the buyer, on top of the order.
More European options from the same settings page
For buyers who prefer something else, "Pay by card" also adds card checkout through Stripe for EU buyers on payments from $10. Approved merchants can add Local Payment Methods too, with iDEAL, Bancontact, BLIK and more, paid in euros.

Revolut payments: FAQ
Who can pay with Revolut?
Buyers in the EU and EEA who have a Revolut account. The button is only shown to buyers in that region, on payments from about €9. Everyone else sees the other options on the same checkout, such as a card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or any of the 110+ coins CryptoPayr accepts.
What is the minimum payment for Revolut?
About €9, the euro equivalent of $10. The minimum counts the buyer's whole payment, so the card fee is included. Below that the Revolut button does not appear, but the buyer can still pay with any of the 110+ coins. Because Revolut bills in euros, its minimum works out in euros too.
Is the buyer charged in euros, and what is the fee?
Yes, Revolut payments are billed in euros. On top of the order, the buyer pays a card processing fee: the greater of $2.99 or 9% + $1.50. That fee belongs to the buyer, so it never comes out of your sale. You pay only your normal processing fee on the order amount.
How am I paid for a Revolut order?
In US dollars. Once the partner's crypto reaches the order and CryptoPayr confirms it, the order amount is credited to your USD balance, minus your processing fee. Withdraw it to your own wallet in the coin you choose, send it to another CryptoPayr account for free, or set automatic payouts.
How do refunds work for Revolut buyers?
You issue a refund from your dashboard or through the API, just as for a crypto payment. The customer receives an email with a link and enters the crypto address where they want the refund sent. The refund goes out in crypto, not back to the Revolut account.
Do buyers have to verify their identity?
Some partners ask a first-time buyer to verify their identity before buying crypto. That check runs on the partner's page and nowhere else, and CryptoPayr never sees the documents. Nothing about it affects your store, and the buyer never needs a CryptoPayr account to pay.
How do I switch on Revolut?
Open Settings → Payments and switch on "Pay by card". Revolut is part of that option, so there is nothing else to configure. From then on, buyers in the EU and EEA see the Revolut button on payments from about €9, beside the other partner buttons that fit their order.
