Crypto payments for VPN and privacy services, with no card on file

Let customers pay for VPNs, proxies, private email and secure storage in Monero, Bitcoin and 110+ coins. They need no account to check out, and no card details get tied to your privacy product.

No setup or monthly feesNo KYC or KYB required110+ coinsNo chargebacks on crypto

People buy a VPN or a private mailbox because they want less of their life on record. Then the checkout asks for a name, a billing address and a card number, and the purchase lands on a bank statement next to everything else. For a privacy brand, that is an awkward first impression. Crypto payments for VPN and privacy services let customers pay without tying card data to the very product they bought to protect themselves.

With CryptoPayr, customers pay in Monero, Bitcoin, Litecoin, USDT, USDC, Ethereum, Solana and more than 110 coins on every major network. They need no CryptoPayr account to check out, the checkout speaks 25 languages, and when the payment is final on the blockchain, CryptoPayr tells your system so the subscription or license can be activated automatically. Customers who later want a record can sign in to the customer portal for their payment history and refunds.

Privacy services are usually subscriptions, and crypto cannot be pulled from a wallet. CryptoPayr subscriptions handle that by emailing the customer a payment link each period, so they approve every renewal and you never store a card. Providers on WHMCS can use the free module, and custom systems can use the PHP, Python or Node.js SDK or the REST API, with a full test mode to try every flow first.

On your side, payments settle to a USD balance by default, or you keep the exact coins customers sent, Monero included. Pricing is 2% per payment, 1.5% above $1,000 a month and 1% above $5,000 a month, with no setup fees and no monthly fees. Opening the account needs no KYC, no KYB and no company registration, and a confirmed crypto payment cannot be charged back.

Why merchants switch

The problem with card payments for VPN and privacy services

Card data that contradicts the product

A privacy product paid with a card links a real name, address and bank account to the subscription. Customers who chose you to reduce their footprint notice that, and some leave the checkout rather than hand over the very details they bought your service to protect.

Processors wary of privacy services

VPNs, proxies and anonymous email are often classed as high risk because a small share of customers misuse them. That can mean refused applications, extra reviews and accounts closed after a single complaint, however carefully you run your service and handle abuse reports.

Stolen cards and trial abuse

Proxy and VPN plans are cheap, instant and attractive to anyone testing stolen cards. The fraud shows up later as chargebacks, along with fees and a rising dispute ratio that puts your merchant account at risk, all for accounts you have already provisioned.

Customers far from your bank

Privacy tools sell worldwide, but international card payments do not reach everywhere. Many customers have cards that cannot pay foreign merchants, or banks that flag the purchase, so some of the people who want your product most are the least able to buy it by card.

What you get

Crypto payments for VPN and privacy services, done properly

Monero and 110+ other coins

Accept Monero for customers who want extra privacy, plus Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, USDT, USDC, Solana, TRON, TON and more than 110 coins on every major network. Set an underpayment tolerance so a renewal paid slightly short still completes.

No account for the buyer

Customers pay at the hosted checkout without creating a CryptoPayr account, in any of 25 languages. Those who want a record can use the customer portal later to see their payment history, saved credit and any refunds.

Renewals by emailed pay link

Subscriptions email the customer a payment link each billing period. Crypto cannot be pulled from a wallet, so there is no stored card, nothing to expire and no surprise charge. Your system is notified when the renewal is final and the plan stays active.

WHMCS module, SDKs and API

If you bill through WHMCS, the free module adds crypto to your invoices. Custom stacks can use the PHP, Python or Node.js SDK or the REST API, and test mode lets you try every flow without real money.

No chargebacks on crypto payments

A confirmed blockchain payment is final, so a VPN or proxy plan paid in crypto cannot be disputed after it has been used. Refunds stay your decision: send one from the dashboard and the customer enters an address to receive it.

Settlement and payouts

Payments settle to a USD balance by default or stay in the coins customers sent. Withdraw to your own wallet in the coin you choose or on an automatic schedule, and pay affiliates in bulk from a CSV or Excel file or with payout links.

What you can take payment for

  • Residential, mobile and datacenter proxy plans
  • Private and encrypted email accounts
  • Encrypted cloud storage and backup plans
  • Password managers and secure messaging apps
  • Prepaid access codes and gift subscriptions
  • Affiliate commissions paid through payout links
Getting started

Go live in four steps

Create an account

Sign up using only an email address, much as your own customers would expect. There is no KYC, no KYB, no company registration and no setup or monthly fee.

Connect billing

Install the WHMCS module, or connect your own billing system with an SDK or the REST API. Run test payments in sandbox mode first.

Set up plans

Turn on subscriptions for recurring plans, create payment links for one-off purchases, and choose USD settlement or per-coin balances for your revenue.

Take private payments

Customers pick Monero or another coin and pay from their own wallet. When the payment is final, your system activates the plan automatically.

Crypto payments for VPN and privacy services: FAQ

Can customers pay for a VPN with Monero?

Yes. Monero is one of the 110+ coins CryptoPayr accepts, alongside Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, USDT, USDC and many more. Monero payments are confirmed automatically like any other coin, and you can settle them to your USD balance or keep them as Monero in a per-coin balance.

Do customers need to create an account or share personal details?

They need no CryptoPayr account to pay. They send the amount shown at checkout from their own wallet, and nothing is charged to a card. What your own signup asks for is up to you. Customers who choose a card option pay through a partner instead, and some partners ask first-time buyers to verify their identity.

How do renewals work without a stored card?

Each billing period CryptoPayr emails the customer a payment link for the renewal. They pay from their wallet, your system is notified once the payment is final, and the plan continues. Because crypto cannot be pulled automatically, the customer approves every renewal and there is no card on file to leak or expire.

Is there a WHMCS module for VPN billing?

Yes. The free, official WHMCS module adds crypto as a payment method on your invoices. When a customer pays and the payment is final on the blockchain, the invoice is marked paid automatically and your WHMCS automation handles activation and renewals as usual. Custom systems can use the SDKs or the REST API instead.

What does CryptoPayr charge for VPN and privacy service payments?

A single processing fee and nothing else: 2% per payment, which falls to 1.5% when you pass $1,000 a month and to 1% above $5,000 a month. No setup fee, no monthly fee, no minimum. If you switch on card options, customers who use them pay the card fee on top of the order.

Can a VPN payment be charged back?

A crypto payment confirmed on the blockchain is final, so it cannot be charged back after the plan has been used. That takes away much of what makes cheap VPN and proxy plans attractive to people testing stolen cards. If a refund is fair, you send it from the dashboard and the customer enters an address to receive it.

Do I need KYC or a registered company to sign up?

No. CryptoPayr needs no KYC or KYB to open or run a merchant account, and no company registration. You sign up with an email address, connect your billing and can go live the same day. You remain responsible for the laws of the markets you serve, and our Acceptable Use Policy applies.
