Crypto payments for SaaS and software, billed to customers anywhere
Sell subscriptions, licenses and API plans in Bitcoin, USDT, USDC and 110+ coins. Each billing period your customer gets a payment link by email, and your app is told once the payment is final.
Software is sold everywhere, but card billing is not. A developer tools startup can have users on every continent and still lose a share of them at checkout, because their cards are declined abroad, flagged as risky or not set up for foreign online payments. Then the renewals start failing, one expired card at a time. Crypto payments for SaaS and software give those customers a way to pay that works the same in every country.
CryptoPayr handles the billing models software companies actually use. Subscriptions email the customer a payment link every period, since crypto cannot be pulled from a wallet the way a card can be charged. Invoices with line items cover annual contracts, seat bundles and onboarding fees. One-off license sales and usage top-ups run through the hosted checkout, reusable payment links or the popup checkout script on your pricing page.
For your engineers, there is a REST API with PHP, Python and Node.js SDKs and a full test mode, so the whole flow can be built and tried without real money. When a payment is final on the blockchain, CryptoPayr notifies your app with a webhook, so it can activate the plan, extend the license or add credits automatically. Customers need no CryptoPayr account, and the checkout speaks 25 languages.
Revenue settles to a USD balance by default, so monthly recurring revenue is not at the mercy of coin prices, or you can keep stablecoins and other coins exactly as paid. Pricing is 2% per payment, 1.5% above $1,000 a month and 1% above $5,000 a month, with no setup fees, no monthly fees, no KYC and no company registration required. A two-person team can go live the same day it signs up.
The problem with card payments for SaaS and software
Renewals that fail on expired cards
Every subscription business loses customers who never meant to leave. A card expires, gets replaced after a breach or is declined by an issuer abroad, and the renewal fails. Reminder emails help a little, but each failed charge still means lost revenue and a customer who has to be won back.
Customers you cannot bill at all
Developers and businesses in many countries struggle to pay foreign software companies by card. International payments are blocked, cards are prepaid only, or the bank flags a recurring foreign charge as suspicious. Those buyers want your product, have the budget for it and still have no way to pay.
Disputes on software already used
A customer can use your product for a month, export what they need and then dispute the charge as unauthorized. License keys cannot be taken back and API calls cannot be undone, and the card network often sides with the cardholder, leaving you with a dispute fee on top of the lost revenue.
Payment providers that pick your markets
Many processors only onboard companies registered in a short list of countries and ask for weeks of paperwork before your first charge. Solo developers and early-stage teams get stuck in onboarding long before they write a single line of billing code, while their first customers wait.
Crypto payments for SaaS and software, done properly
Crypto subscriptions with emailed pay links
Create a plan, add subscribers and CryptoPayr emails each customer a payment link every billing period. Crypto cannot be pulled automatically, so the customer approves each renewal, and your app is notified once the payment is final.
Invoices with line items
Turn on invoices for annual contracts, seat bundles, setup fees and custom quotes. Each invoice carries its own line items and is paid in crypto, which suits enterprise customers and finance teams that expect a proper bill.
SDKs, API and test mode
Integrate with the REST API using the PHP, Python or Node.js SDK. Test mode gives you a sandbox to create and complete payments without real money, so your billing logic is checked before the first real customer pays.
Automatic order confirmation
When a payment is final on the blockchain, CryptoPayr notifies your app with a webhook, so plans upgrade, licenses activate and credits land without manual checks. You also get email notifications and a dashboard view of every payment.
Card and app options for every buyer
Switch on Pay by card and customers without crypto can pay with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Coinbase or Revolut through partners that turn their money into crypto. You are credited the order amount in USD, minus the normal processing fee.
Stable revenue and flexible payouts
Payments settle to a USD balance by default, or keep the coins customers paid with. Withdraw on an automatic schedule, pay contractors in bulk from a CSV or Excel file, and run several products as separate businesses under one login.

Crypto payments for SaaS and software: FAQ
How does recurring billing work if crypto cannot be charged automatically?
Each billing period CryptoPayr emails your customer a payment link for the amount due. They pay from their wallet or with one of the card options, and once the payment is final your app is notified and the subscription stays active. The customer approves every renewal, so there is no stored card to expire.
Can I sell software licenses with crypto payments?
Yes. Sell license keys and downloads through the hosted checkout, payment links, the popup checkout on your own site or the REST API. Because your app is notified when the payment is final, it can issue the license automatically. Easy Digital Downloads and WooCommerce stores can use the free plugins instead.
Is there a sandbox for testing the integration?
Yes. Test mode lets you create payments and complete them in a sandbox without real money, so you can check plan upgrades, license delivery and what your app does when a payment expires, all before launch. The PHP, Python and Node.js SDKs work in both test and live mode.
What do SaaS companies pay in fees?
Only a processing fee: there is no setup fee, no monthly plan to pay for and no monthly minimum. You pay 2% per payment, which drops to 1.5% once you process more than $1,000 a month and to 1% above $5,000 a month. Customers who pay through a card option cover the card fee themselves.
Will crypto price swings affect my MRR?
Not unless you want them to. By default every payment is converted and credited to your USD balance, so a $49 plan is credited at $49 before fees, whatever the coin does next. Teams that want to hold crypto can keep the exact coin each customer paid with instead.
Can I issue invoices for annual or enterprise deals?
Yes. Turn on invoices in your settings and create bills with line items for seats, annual licenses, setup fees or custom work. The customer pays in any of 110+ coins, or by card if you switch that on, and the invoice is marked paid once the payment is final.
Do customers need a crypto account to pay?
They need no CryptoPayr account. Anyone with a wallet or exchange balance can pay, and on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche and Arbitrum they can pay straight from MetaMask or a WalletConnect wallet. Customers without crypto can use the card and app options you enable, where available in their country.
