Accept Google Pay payments on your store
Accept Google Pay for payments from $10 and let Android shoppers pay with the card already saved on their phone. A partner turns the payment into crypto, and you receive the order amount in USD.
What is Google Pay?
Google Pay is Google's wallet for paying online and in shops. A shopper saves their debit and credit cards to their Google account once, then pays with a tap on an Android phone or a click in the Chrome browser, confirming with a fingerprint, face recognition or PIN. It comes ready on many Android phones, and the shop never needs to collect the card number.
Android phones are common in almost every market, which makes Google Pay one of the most familiar ways to pay on mobile, particularly in places where iPhones are less widespread. For many shoppers it is simply how they pay for apps, subscriptions and online orders. Because the card is saved to the account rather than to one device, the same buyer can pay on a phone, a tablet or a laptop without typing anything. Availability still depends on the buyer's country and on whether their bank supports it.
Accepting Google Pay payments usually means a card processor and its approval process. With CryptoPayr the buyer still pays with Google Pay on a partner's page, the partner turns that payment into crypto and sends it to your order, and you are credited in dollars. You get a familiar mobile checkout without a card merchant account.
How Google Pay works on CryptoPayr
Turn on "Pay by card" in Settings → Payments. From then on a Google Pay button shows for payments from $10, counting the card fee, and Google Pay is also offered inside Transak for payments from $30, together with card, Apple Pay and bank transfer. Buyers who prefer crypto still see the full coin list beside it.
When the buyer taps it, a partner page opens in a new tab and they pay with a card from their Google account. The partner turns the payment into crypto and sends it to the order. CryptoPayr confirms the order automatically and your store marks it paid. You are credited the order amount in your USD balance, minus your normal processing fee. The buyer pays the card processing fee on top of the order: the greater of $2.99 or 9% + $1.50.
How a buyer pays with Google Pay
Choose Google Pay
When the payment, card fee included, comes to $10 or more, the buyer taps the Google Pay button instead of picking a coin and a network.
Pay with a saved card
On the partner page that opens in a new tab, they choose a card from their Google account and confirm on their phone or in the browser.
Identity check, sometimes
A partner may ask a first-time buyer for identity details. That happens on the partner page, and CryptoPayr never receives the documents.
Ready for delivery
Crypto reaches the order, CryptoPayr confirms it automatically and your store marks the order paid, so delivery can start straight away.
Why merchants offer Google Pay
Reach shoppers who hold no crypto
Plenty of mobile shoppers have never owned a coin. A Google Pay button lets them pay with what is already on their phone, while you still receive a settled crypto payment for the order.
Accept Google Pay with no card contract
You do not apply to an acquirer or register for Google Pay yourself. Switch on "Pay by card" in Settings and the button is added to your hosted checkout, ready for the next payment that qualifies.
Your margin stays intact
The card processing fee, the greater of $2.99 or 9% + $1.50, is paid by the buyer on top of the order. What reaches your USD balance is the order amount, less your normal processing fee.
Dollars in your balance, payouts your way
Google Pay orders settle to your USD balance. Withdraw to your own wallet in the coin you choose, set automatic payouts, or pay suppliers and staff in one go with bulk payouts from a CSV or Excel file.
Disputes stay with the partner
A card dispute is between the buyer and the partner that sold them the crypto. Your side of the sale is a settled crypto payment, and a confirmed blockchain payment is final.

Google Pay payments: FAQ
What is the minimum payment for Google Pay?
The Google Pay button appears for payments of $10 or more, and inside Transak from $30, together with card, Apple Pay and bank transfer. The minimum counts the whole payment, so the card fee is included. Below $10 the card partner buttons do not appear, but the buyer can still pay with crypto.
Where can buyers use Google Pay?
It depends on the buyer's country, their bank and their device. Google Pay works on Android phones and in the Chrome browser, and it is offered in many countries but not all. A buyer who cannot use it sees the other options on the same checkout, such as a card, Apple Pay or crypto.
Will buyers need to show ID?
Some partners ask a first-time buyer to verify their identity before completing the purchase. That happens entirely on the partner's page. CryptoPayr never sees the documents, and nothing about it changes your checkout or your store. The buyer also never needs to create a CryptoPayr account.
What fee does the buyer pay?
A card processing fee is added on top of the order: the greater of $2.99 or 9% + $1.50. For a $100 order that is $10.50, so the buyer pays $110.50. You are credited the $100 order amount, minus your normal processing fee of 2%, 1.5% or 1% depending on your monthly volume.
What do I receive for a Google Pay sale?
The order amount, credited to your USD balance once the partner's crypto reaches the order and CryptoPayr confirms it, minus your processing fee. You get an email, you see the payment in your dashboard, and your store is told automatically. From the balance you withdraw in the coin you choose.
Can a Google Pay payment be refunded?
Yes. Issue the refund from your dashboard or through the API. The customer gets an email with a link and enters the crypto address where they want the money sent. The refund goes out in crypto, because the order reached you as a crypto payment rather than as a card payment.
How do I turn on Google Pay?
In Settings → Payments, switch on "Pay by card". That one switch adds Google Pay and the other partner buttons to your hosted checkout. Each one appears only when the payment meets its minimum and the buyer's region allows it, so buyers see the options that fit their order.
