Shops, cafés, bars and restaurants, paid by QR code

Crypto payments for shops, cafés and restaurants

Turn any phone, tablet or laptop into a crypto point of sale. Enter the amount, show the QR code, and the customer pays from their own phone in Bitcoin, USDT or 110+ other coins.

No setup or monthly feesNo KYC or KYB required110+ coinsNo chargebacks on crypto

Taking crypto at the counter used to mean a special terminal, a long contract and a monthly rental fee. With CryptoPayr it means opening a page on the device you already have. Type in the amount, and a QR code appears that the customer scans with their phone. The screen switches to paid once the payment is confirmed, and the sale lands in your dashboard next to your online orders.

Customers pay in Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, USDC, Litecoin, Solana, TRON, Dogecoin or any of 110+ coins, on every major network. Tourists and travelers do not need a local card or to worry about exchange fees, and nobody needs a CryptoPayr account to pay. The checkout opens in their own language, one of 25. For a quick sale at a busy counter, you can set the coin and network before showing the code, so the customer only has to scan and confirm.

The same account covers everything else a shop or restaurant sells. Send a payment link for a catering order or a table deposit, issue an invoice with line items for an event booking, and add crypto to your online store with the free WooCommerce or PrestaShop plugin. Each payment is listed with its customer and amount, and reports and statements export to CSV for your bookkeeping.

Your takings settle to a USD balance by default, so a coin price drop after closing time never changes the day's revenue, or you can keep the coins customers send. There is no terminal to buy, no rental, no setup fee and no monthly fee, just 2% per payment, falling to 1.5% above $1,000 a month and 1% above $5,000 a month. Opening the account needs no KYC and no company registration.

Why merchants switch

The problem with card payments for shops and restaurants

Terminals, rentals and contracts

Card acceptance in a shop usually comes with hardware to buy or rent, a contract that runs for years and monthly fees you pay whether it is a busy month or a quiet one. For a small café or market stall, that fixed cost eats into the margin before the first sale.

Tourists whose cards fail

Visitors from abroad often carry cards that are declined, charged extra by their own bank or simply not accepted at the counter. Some walk away, some count out cash they had to change at a bad rate, and the sale is smaller or lost.

Waiting days for your money

Card takings arrive days after the sale, minus fees that are hard to read on the statement. Money you have already earned sits with the processor while rent, suppliers and staff need paying now.

Chargebacks on goods already handed over

A meal is eaten and a product leaves the shop, then a card dispute arrives weeks later. You rarely win it, and you pay a dispute fee on top of the lost sale.

What you get

Crypto payments for shops and restaurants, done properly

A QR point of sale on any device

Turn on Point of Sale in Settings and use any phone, tablet or laptop as a till. Enter the amount, show the QR code and the screen switches to paid once the payment is confirmed. There is no terminal to buy and nothing to install.

110+ coins, set in advance if you like

Customers pay with Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, USDC, Litecoin, Solana, TRON and many more. Choose the coin and network before you show the code, such as USDT on TRON, and the customer only has to scan and pay.

Payment links and invoices

Take deposits for tables, catering and private events with a payment link you send by message or email. Bill larger bookings with an invoice that lists every item, paid in crypto from anywhere.

Your online store on the same account

Add crypto to your WooCommerce or PrestaShop store with a free plugin, and see shop, online and invoice payments in one dashboard with one balance and one set of reports.

Card options for customers without crypto

Switch on Pay by card and, for payments from $10, customers scanning your code can pay with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay, depending on their country. You are credited the order amount, minus your normal fee.

Takings that keep their value

Payments settle to a USD balance by default, or keep the coins themselves. Withdraw to your own wallet whenever you like or set automatic payouts daily, weekly or monthly, and export statements for your accountant.

Crypto payments for shops and restaurants: FAQ

Do I need a special terminal to accept crypto in my shop?

No. Point of Sale runs in the browser on any phone, tablet or laptop. You enter the amount, a QR code appears, and the customer scans it with their own phone to pay. There is nothing to buy, rent or install.

How long does a payment take at the counter?

It depends on the coin. The screen switches to paid once the payment is confirmed on the blockchain, and some networks confirm faster than others. For quick sales, set the coin and network before you show the code, for example USDT on TRON, so the customer pays on a fast network.

Can customers pay by card through the QR code?

Yes, once you switch on Pay by card. For payments from $10, customers without crypto can pay with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay, depending on their country, and you are credited the order amount. Below that, they pay in crypto.

What does it cost a small shop?

There is no terminal, no rental, no setup fee and no monthly fee. You pay 2% per payment, dropping to 1.5% once you take more than $1,000 a month and to 1% above $5,000 a month. Customers who choose a card option pay the card fee themselves.

What if the coin price drops after closing?

Nothing changes for you by default. Every payment is converted and credited to your USD balance, so a $25 bill is booked at $25 before fees. If you would rather hold crypto, you can keep the exact coins customers pay with.

Can I give a customer their money back?

Yes. Issue a refund for a completed payment from your dashboard. The customer receives an email link where they enter the address to receive it, so you never have to collect wallet details at the counter.

Can I use the same account for my online store?

Yes. Add the free WooCommerce or PrestaShop plugin, or use payment links, and online orders land in the same dashboard and balance as your in-store sales. Reports and statements cover both, ready to export as CSV.
