Accept payments by phone call
Some buyers would rather pay by phone than with a card or a bank. With phone payment they complete the payment with a call, and you are credited the order amount in your USD balance.
What is Phone payment?
Paying by phone is a simple option for buyers who don't have a card, don't want to use one online, or can't use online banking. The buyer completes the payment with a phone call, following the instructions shown to them.
It suits small purchases such as game credits, digital downloads and donations, where the buyer wants to pay quickly without signing up for anything or sharing card details.
With CryptoPayr, phone payment is part of Local Payment Methods. Once our team approves your account, buyers can choose to pay by phone on our payment partner's page, and you receive the order amount in your USD balance.
How Phone payment works on CryptoPayr
Click "Request access" for Local Payment Methods in Settings → Payments. Once our team approves it, your checkout shows a Local Payment Methods button on orders from €1 to €150. The buyer opens it, chooses to pay by phone on our payment partner's page and follows the steps shown there.
After paying, the buyer pastes the order number into your checkout. The order is marked paid once the payment is confirmed, your store is told automatically, and you are credited the order amount in your USD balance, minus your normal processing fee.
How a buyer pays with Phone payment
Choose Local Payment Methods
On your checkout the buyer opens Local Payment Methods instead of picking a coin. It is shown on orders from €1 to €150.
Choose to pay by phone
On our payment partner's page, opened in a new tab, they choose phone payment.
Pay with a call
The buyer completes the payment by phone, following the instructions on the page.
Paste the order number
Back on your checkout they paste the order number. Once the payment is confirmed, the order is marked paid.

Phone payment comes with the other Local Payment Methods. One approval in Settings adds it to your checkout, with nothing else to set up.
For buyers without a card
Buyers who have no card, or don't want to use one online, can still pay you for a small order.
Credited in USD
Phone payment orders land in your USD balance at the order amount, minus your processing fee of 1%, 0.5% or 0.1% depending on monthly volume. The buyer covers the cost of paying with phone payment.
Confirmed before you deliver
An order is only marked paid once the payment is confirmed, and your store, plugin or API integration is told automatically, so delivery can start without a manual check.

Who can pay by phone?
Buyers for whom our payment partner offers phone payment. They pay through Local Payment Methods, which is shown on your checkout once your account is approved.
What are the minimum and maximum amounts?
Local Payment Methods covers orders from €1 to €150. Larger orders can still be paid with any of the 110+ coins, or by card when "Pay by card" is on.
Who pays the fees?
The buyer covers the cost of paying with phone payment. You pay only your normal processing fee: 1%, dropping to 0.5% above $5,000 a month and 0.1% above $15,000 a month.
How do I get access?
In Settings → Payments, click "Request access" for Local Payment Methods. Our team reviews the request, and once it is approved the button appears on your checkout with phone payment and the other methods.
How does the order number work?
After paying, the buyer receives an order number. They paste it into the box on your checkout, and we use it to match their payment to your order. Once the payment is confirmed, the order is completed.
How do I get my money out?
Phone payment orders sit in your USD balance. Withdraw to your own wallet in the coin you choose, or set automatic payouts daily, weekly, monthly or when the balance reaches a threshold.
